Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has refuted claims suggesting an alleged move to impeach his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, saying a viral prophecy making the rounds on social media should not be taken seriously.

The clarification followed the circulation of a video featuring the General Overseer of God Central Ministry in Ekiti State, Prophet Olumuyiwa Akogun, who warned of a possible political rift within the Ondo State Government.

In the widely shared footage, the cleric claimed he received a spiritual revelation indicating that the deputy governor could face impeachment, raising concerns about instability in the state’s leadership.

Akogun narrated that he saw what looked like a breaking news report announcing Adelami’s removal from office and described a symbolic scene in which both leaders were separated by a sudden storm.

He further warned that the development might spark serious disagreement between the governor and his deputy if prayers were not offered.

Reacting while commissioning the Ayegunle–Iwaro Oka Road during activities marking his first year in office, Aiyedatiwa dismissed the prophecy as unfounded.

The governor emphasised that there was no misunderstanding between him and Adelami, noting that the deputy governor had done nothing to warrant impeachment.

He described Adelami as a dependable and loyal partner in governance and urged residents to disregard the viral claim, insisting that his administration remained united.
