Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party at the federal level.
The governor announced his defection on Friday during a statewide broadcast, saying he was moving with his entire cabinet and all officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Fintiri explained that his decision was motivated by the desire to accelerate development and serve the best interests of the people of Adamawa.
