The gospel music scene in Nigeria is grieving the loss of Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the popular musical duo, Adegbodu Twins.
The sad development was confirmed on Sunday when Taiwo’s twin brother and partner in ministry, Kehinde Adegbodu, took to social media to announce the death.
In an emotional post, Kehinde expressed his heartbreak over losing not only his brother but also his fellow minister. He wrote: “TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification? My heart is bleeding, Lord, how do you want me to cope without him? God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”
The Adegbodu Twins had built a reputation across Nigeria for their electrifying worship performances, harmonized stage presence, and impactful ministry.
Their music, particularly in the South-West, drew large audiences at churches and Christian events.
At this time, the cause of Taiwo’s death and the details of his funeral arrangements remain undisclosed.
