It has come to our notice that a narrative built on false claims is being circulated through a deceitful and highly unprofessional article sponsored by a failed, fraud-oriented politician. This publication alleges that our dear principal, Engr. Razaq Obe, is being sponsored or bankrolled by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in his genuine aspiration to represent the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.

The same fellow, with an obscene record of misleading claims and poorly substantiated assertions, further suggests that Engr. Razaq Obe’s allegiance now lies within another camp in opposition to the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. These claims are entirely false, baseless, and clearly intended to mislead the public.

Engr. Razaq Obe’s service, loyalty, and commitment remain unmatched. This stands in stark contrast to the record of the said contestant, who, despite being entrusted with the responsibility to represent his constituency, delivered no verifiable impact and was ultimately voted out by the very people he once represented due to poor and ineffective representation.

On the issue of financing, Engr. Razaq Obe’s influence and achievements span decades. He is not one to depend on external sponsorship or political patronage to secure relevance or win an election. He first ran for House of Representatives way back 2011. It is therefore both inaccurate and rather uninformed to suggest that he would rely on any individual to fund his ambition to represent the Idanre/Ifedore constituency in the Green Chambers.

We believe the internet remains accessible to all. With basic engagement: whether through Google, Wikipedia, or other credible platforms, even the individual whose public expressions often drift between unstructured English and casual Pidgin can verify the longstanding integrity, influence, and accomplishments of our principal. It is therefore quite laughable to suggest that a figure of his standing could be swayed.

Engr. Razaq Obe is a self-made professional whose wealth, integrity, and resources are traceable to legitimate and verifiable endeavors. His distinguished career includes service in reputable organizations such as Globacom, NNPC, and ExxonMobil, where he rose to leadership positions, including serving as Chairman of PENGASSAN. He is a COREN-certified engineer, a seasoned contract and project manager, and has successfully supervised and executed numerous projects across both public and private sectors.

In contrast, the credibility of his accuser remains highly questionable, with no clear or verifiable source of income, but rather a reputation clouded by allegations of dubious activities, questionable dealings and murderous propensities.

Engr. Razaq Obe’s influence and impact have been evident for years, visible in the lives he has touched and the communities he has supported. He is a self-made man whose candidature is driven purely by a desire to serve his people better, not by external influence or ulterior motives. Even before his appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources under the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, he had consistently empowered individuals and contributed meaningfully to community development.

His tenure, which extended into the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was marked by significant progress in the energy and mineral sectors, as well as a firm stance against illegal bunkering and mining activities. It is therefore both illogical and contradictory to suggest that he would now act against the same administration he served with distinction.

While we uphold that our principal remains a man of integrity, with a trademark of longstanding impact in Ondo State, we also find it necessary to caution the public about individuals known for blackmail, disruptive conducts, and a consistent inability to present coherent and well-structured communication. Leadership demands clarity, discipline, and substance—not a display of confused messaging or poorly articulated narratives.

There is no doubt that such an individual’s previous tenure lacked the quality required of public office, which explains why it was short-lived and ultimately rejected by the electorate. To date, the Idanre/Ifedore constituency cannot point any tangible or meaningful benefit derived from his time in office other than the episodes of senseless violence that have put the entire state in bad light.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is a man of justice and fairness who would not support a position shared by two LGAs to remain in Idanre after Idanre sons have occupied the position twice back to back. Idanre held both Senate and Reps positions between 2019 and 2023, and Reps again from 2023 to date. Ifedore lo kan!

We hereby reiterate that any attempt to tarnish the image of Engr. Razaq Obe or promote false narratives against his person will be addressed through appropriate legal channels and met with firm resistance.

Signed
