Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has been returned as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Surajudeen Basiru emerged as the party’s National Secretary at the 4th Elective National Convention held on Friday night in Abuja.

The duo was announced by the convention’s election committee among party officials endorsed through a consensus arrangement.

The event, which took place at Eagle Square, attracted key figures within the ruling party, including President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was coordinated by a planning committee headed by former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, alongside a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
