The management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic has directed all staff to resume duties immediately following the Ondo State Government’s intervention in the institution’s industrial crisis.
The directive was conveyed in a statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Olumide Olugosi, on Wednesday.
The management said the move aligned with instructions from Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa aimed at restoring normal academic and administrative activities in the polytechnic.
It also announced the suspension of all staff union activities within the institution until further notice, alongside the temporary disengagement of union leaders from official functions.
“All staff members are hereby directed to resume their official duties immediately in compliance with the Government’s directive,” the statement read.
The management warned that it would enforce the “No Work, No Pay” policy, stressing that salaries of workers who fail to comply would be withheld in line with public service regulations.
It explained that the measures were necessary to stabilise the institution, protect its academic calendar, and ensure uninterrupted operations.
While calling for cooperation, the management reaffirmed its commitment to dialogue with stakeholders and maintaining a peaceful environment for learning and administration.
