Speaking after the announcement, Ondo State APC Chairman, Babatunde Kolawole, described the direct primary system as a democratic process that allowed party members to freely choose their representatives.
Kolawole said the exercise had produced winners across Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly levels, but stressed that all participants remain important stakeholders in the party structure.
He noted that the outcome should not be interpreted as a division between victors and losers, but as part of the democratic process where only one candidate can emerge per position.
The party chairman disclosed that reconciliation mechanisms would be immediately activated to address grievances arising from the primaries and promote unity within the party.
According to him, reconciliation committees will be set up to engage dissatisfied aspirants and their supporters with a view to strengthening internal cohesion ahead of future elections.
Kolawole also revealed that the party has shifted focus to the forthcoming presidential election, noting that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa had charged members to mobilise one million votes for the President in the state.
He emphasised that achieving the target would require unity, coordination and sustained grassroots mobilisation across all structures of the party.
The APC chairman added that despite efforts by opposition parties to gain ground in Ondo State, the ruling party remains confident of securing victory in the presidential poll through strategic organisation and broad-based support.
