NIPCO chair’s wife for burial

The family of Beatrice Ifeoma Anekwe, who was the wife of NIPCO Plc Chairman, Chief Bestman Anekwe, have announced her funeral programme.

Lady Beatrice, who died on Thursday, April 25, 2024, according to the family, is survived by her husband, sons, and daughters.

She also left behind grandchildren, siblings, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The family, in a statement signed by Chike Anekwe, stated that the funeral started with a vigil mass at the deceased’s Abakaliki residence in Edda Close, Azuiyiokwu, Abakaliki on Monday, August 19, 2024.

They noted that on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, there would be a brief stopover at the Knights of St. Mulumba Hall in St. Theresa Parish which would be followed by a funeral mass at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, Abakaliki, at 9 am.

“Thereafter, a vigil mass will take place at her country home, Chief Bestman Paul Anekwe’s compound, Umuabu Village, Adazi Enu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, on August 22, 2024, at 5 pm.

“On August 23, 2024, a funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Adazi Enu, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State, at 10 am, followed by her interment at Chief Bestman Anekwe’s compound in Adazi-Enu,” the statement read.
