DJ nabbed for allegedly using fake alerts to dupe Abuja restaurant 


The police have arrested a disc jockey, simply identified as Raymond, for allegedly using fake alerts to defraud a restaurant in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this on his official X handle on Tuesday.

Mr Adejobi explained that the suspect, popularly known as DJ Ice, allegedly committed the crime after buying expensive drinks at the restaurant.

According to the police spokesperson, the suspect, who is a disc jockey, used the N8 million he made from the act to purchase equipment for his DJ activities.

He wrote, “Raymond was arrested for using fake alerts to defraud a restaurant in Abuja. He was buying expensive drinks from them. He realised up to N8m naira. He used the proceeds for DJ equipment.  He is also called DJ ICE,’’

Mr Adejobi warned Nigerians to be careful of individuals such as DJ Ice.
