Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised as well issued a cautionary statement to opposition parties ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In a message released on Tuesday, Ayodele noted the importance of unity among opposition groups, asserting that only a coordinated effort could pose a real challenge to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He urged key opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), to come together and form a coalition, warning that failure to do so would guarantee their defeat.
“A coalition and a strong, capable candidate are essential,” Ayodele noted. “If the PDP, Labour Party, and NNPP do not unite and present a formidable single candidate for the 2027 election, they won’t stand a chance against President Tinubu.”
