Oodua Youth Coalition Pass Vote Of Confidence On Honorable Minister For Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.

~ Laud his remarkable achievements in the area of youth empowerment.

Oodua Youth Coalition (OYC), a socio-cultural youth organisation that has overtime advocate youth inclusion in governance in it’s National Executive Council meeting held on the 1st of March, 2025, reviewed the performance of the Youthful Honorable Minister for Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande since his assumption of office and commend his remarkable innovations in the Youth Ministry by passing a vote of confidence on him.

In a statement released after the meeting , the organisation through it’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ifedayo Bamidele highlighted the smart implementation of the Ministry’s plan under Hon. Ayodele Olawande using the SEP – Support, Empower, Protect – APPROACH as innovative and laudable.

The statement reads, “In line with our belief that with great privilege comes great responsibility and our loud demand for the inclusion of youths in governance which was granted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his appointment of Hon. Ayodele Olawande, first as Minister for Youth Development (State), and now as the substantive Minister for Youth Development and a host of other youths in his cabinet, we have taken it upon ourselves to evaluate the performance of the Hon. Minister for Youth Development since his appointment and offer relevant advise where necessary.”

“In a bid to empower young Nigerians who have innovative ideas but lack funds to develop their ideas into actionable plans, we recognized the Ministry’s supports for youth in business under the leadership of the Hon. Minister through NYIF (Nigerian Youth Investment Fund) funding which was increased from ₦75B to ₦110B to help young entrepreneurs, Also through the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA): “One Youth, Two Skills” campaign the Ministry has ensured market-relevant training, Jobs, mentorships, and lifetime resources are offered to millions of youth.”

“The Nationwide enrollment portal for young farmers on niyeedep.org is a commendable innovation launched to support youths in agricultural and promote food security in our country.”

“The significant output innovative ideas like the National Youth Employability Action Plan, Youth House Initiative, Digital Literacy Training for over 30M Youths (with NITDA), Data Privacy Jobs Training,NYSC Posting Reforms, and conveyance of the Youth Confab highlight the quality effort of the Hon. Minister in delivering on the mandate of President Bola Admed Tinubu for the Youth population in Nigeria.”

“It’s on the basis of the visible efforts of the Hon. Ayodele Olawande and the results of his innovative ideas in the Youth Ministry that we pass a vote of confidence on his leadership and pledge our support to his continued service to the Youth of Nigeria.”
