The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the closure of its national secretariat in Abuja, known as Buhari House, following the death of its Director of Administration, AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.
In a memo titled “Secretariat Closure for the Mourning of the Director of Administration,” the party confirmed the tragic development on Thursday.
It revealed that Adeniji, who had been kidnapped several weeks ago, was killed last month.
The secretariat will remain closed until Monday, April 14, 2025, to allow staff and party members time for reflection and prayer.
“The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National Secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday 14th April 2025,” the statement read.
“This decision was made after he received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration, the Late Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.”
The party also stated that a condolence register would be opened at the secretariat in his honour.
