The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held on Thursday.

In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin advised candidates to check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they registered with.

He explained that the mock exam is an optional exercise aimed at testing new innovations introduced by the board and familiarizing candidates with the computer-based testing environment.

Benjamin noted that this initiative has consistently helped address challenges and better prepare candidates for the main UTME.

Out of 200,115 candidates who initially indicated interest in the mock exam, two withdrew, leaving 200,113 officially registered. On the day of the exam, 73,844 candidates were absent, and 88 were unable to take the test due to biometric verification issues.

As a result, 126,181 candidates sat for the exam, with results for 115,735 now available. The remaining 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released soon.

The board acknowledged some delays experienced during the exam and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused, noting that these issues were related to the rollout of new features intended to improve the conduct of the main UTME.
