Oladipupo Siwajuola, a student of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, who was reported missing by his mother, has been found.
His mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Saturday, simply stating, “My son has been found.”
The university’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, also confirmed the news in a brief WhatsApp response to The PUNCH on Sunday, saying, “Yes, we are aware.”
However, specific details about how and where Siwajuola was found were not available at the time of this report.
Omotayo had earlier gone live on Facebook, tearfully appealing to the public and security agencies for assistance in locating her son.
She explained that she personally dropped him off at the university on Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, but had not heard from him since.
“I dropped him off at the school by myself on Sunday evening, but for the past three days, I have not been able to sleep as I cannot find my son,” she said in the emotional video.
Her plea quickly gained traction online, drawing public attention and prompting widespread concern before the student was eventually located.
