The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board noted that a majority of candidates — over 75 percent — scored below 200.

At the time of this report, the only available method for checking UTME results is through SMS.

Steps to Check Your Result:
1. Using the phone number you registered with, send an SMS containing the word UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019.
2. You will receive a reply with your result shortly afterward.

Things to Keep in Mind:
• You must use the same phone number used during UTME registration.
• Each message costs N50.

Types of Responses You Might Receive:
• Result Sent: Your scores in each subject and your total score will be provided.
• Wrong Number: A message stating the number wasn’t used for registration.
• Result Withheld: A notice that your result is currently withheld.
• Pending Clarification: A prompt asking for required documents or clarification.
• Absent: A message indicating the candidate did not attend the exam.
• Registration Cancelled: Notification that the candidate was absent and the registration has been canceled.
• Invalid Entry: Alert for unauthorized access to the examination hall.

At this time, JAMB has not made online result checking available, so the SMS option remains the only official method.
