Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has outlined a series of infrastructure projects scheduled for inauguration to mark President Bola Tinubu’s second year in office.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the minister’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, following the 14th Executive Committee meeting of the FCT Administration (FCTA), chaired by Wike.

According to the statement, the inauguration of projects will begin on June 10 and continue for 19 days.

Among the major projects slated for commissioning are the refurbished Abuja International Conference Centre, Kugbo and Mabushi Bus Terminals, and the Apo-Wassa Road.

Others include the N16 Interchange and a new road network linking Maitama, Katampe, and Jahi Districts through Gishiri village, as well as the Inner Northern Expressway from Idu (Ring Road III) to Dei Dei.

Additional road infrastructure projects include the CN8 Road from Obafemi Awolowo Way (N5) to the Court of Appeal, the N20 Flyover connecting Wole Soyinka Way with the Murtala Mohammed Expressway (Kubwa Road), and the extension of Obafemi Awolowo Way from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III.

Also listed are access roads from Kabusa to Takushara, Kabusa to Ketti, and within the Giri District.

In the area councils, key projects to be inaugurated include a 15-kilometre road from the A2 Junction (Abuja–Lokoja Expressway) to Pai in the Kwali Area Council.

Additionally, the dualised Ushafa–War College Road and the Army Checkpoint route in the Bwari Area Council are also scheduled for commissioning.
