Suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, appeared on Monday before the Federal High Court in Abuja for a second arraignment over allegations of defamation against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at the court in the company of her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan; prominent human rights activist Aisha Yesufu; and a group of supporters.
The case is scheduled to be heard by Justice Mohammed Umar.
This marks her second arraignment on the matter, following an earlier appearance on June 19, 2025, before the Federal Capital Territory High Court on similar charges.
During the initial hearing, the presiding judge declined the Federal Government’s request to issue a bench warrant for her arrest after she failed to appear in court.
