The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Samuel Eze, for allegedly being in possession of a fresh human breast in the Awada area of Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed the arrest on Sunday in Awka during a review of the command’s weekly activities. According to him, Eze was apprehended on July 6 around 3:30 p.m. by a joint security patrol team comprising officers from the Awada Police Division and members of the Anambra State Vigilante Service.

“The suspect was caught on Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, in possession of a fresh female breast,” Ikenga said.

He added that the recovered body part has been deposited in a morgue, while the suspect remains in custody for interrogation and further investigation.

In a separate incident, Ikenga reported that operatives of the Rapid Response Squad rescued a kidnapped driver on July 4 in Enugwu Ukwu, Njikoka LGA. Acting on credible intelligence, the operatives recovered a truck loaded with custard powder valued at ₦9.5 million and arrested three suspects: Udegenyi Ugochukwu, 38; Anayochukwu Okonkwo, 47; and Good Odigili, 47.

The suspects allegedly tied up the driver in a nearby bush and diverted the consignment, which was originally en route to a warehouse in Asaba, Delta State.

Meanwhile, a silver Toyota Sienna with the inscription “Forum of Accountants Delta State” was recovered abandoned on July 5 along Okpuno-Umuota Village Road in Obosi. The vehicle, suspected to have been stolen, was found by officers attached to the Obosi Division.

Ikenga called on the rightful owner of the vehicle to come forward with valid proof of ownership for verification.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to public safety through continuous joint patrols involving the police, military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), State Security Service (SSS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and local vigilantes.
