The Nigerian Air Force has announced the commencement of recruitment into its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025, calling on qualified graduates and professionals across various fields to apply.

The announcement, made on Tuesday through the Force’s official X handle, stated that applications would be received online from August 27 to October 7, 2025, via the recruitment portal: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. The exercise is free of charge.

According to the guidelines, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and aged between 20 and 32 years, while medical consultants are allowed up to 40 years.

Serving personnel above 32 years are not eligible, except those who have served for at least 10 years, attained the rank of corporal, and are recommended by their commanding officer.

Other requirements include a minimum height of 1.66 metres for men and 1.63 metres for women, sound physical, medical, and psychological fitness, and no prior criminal convictions.

Candidates are also expected to possess at least a Second Class Upper degree as well as a valid NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.

The recruitment is open to professionals in fields such as engineering, medicine, and cyber technology, reflecting the Air Force’s drive to strengthen its capacity in modern warfare.

The NAF disclosed that a zonal aptitude test would be conducted on a date to be announced on the recruitment portal, while successful candidates will proceed to the Selection Interview.
