The Nigeria Police Force has declared one Okoro Prince Nkemakolam wanted over alleged involvement in attempted murder, fraud, and other criminal offences.
In a Special Police Gazette Bulletin released Thursday via its official X handle, the Force said Nkemakolam is being sought by the Office of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (INTERPOL) and the Head of the National Central Bureau, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to the bulletin, a warrant of arrest was issued by the High Court of Abuja against the suspect, who is accused of criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, assault, threat to life, fraud, and criminal breach of trust.
Police alleged that Nkemakolam attacked a complainant with a machete and knife, inflicting severe injuries that required stitches across the victim’s head and body.
The victim reportedly survived the assault “by the whiskers.”
The 38-year-old suspect was described as of medium height and build, with a copper complexion and a square-shaped face.
He reportedly speaks Igbo fluently, dresses in western clothes, and was last sighted in Benin/Abakaliki, Umobo community, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The police urged anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest station or contact INTERPOL at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, through 080622129151
