Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has announced October 20 as the date for the planned #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest march to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sowore disclosed the date in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that the demonstration would commence by 7 a.m.
In his post, he wrote: “We now have a date for the historic #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest march to the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja — it is October 20 at 7 a.m.”
The protest is intended to demand the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in custody since his arrest and extradition to Nigeria.
