Residents of Emeyal 1 community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State were treated to an unusual spectacle on Saturday, November 22, 2025, as an 85-year-old woman, Madam Afuwari Ego, popularly called Ego Na Money, was buried in a custom-made Coca-Cola-shaped casket.

The uniquely crafted coffin, shaped like a giant bottle of the popular soft drink, became the centre of attraction at the funeral, drawing large crowds from within and outside the community.

A Photographer, Ogbara Walson Henry, who captured images of the unusual casket, said it drew wide attention during the ceremony, attracting both residents and guests.

Many described it as a creative and memorable tribute to the late woman.

He explained that the idea for the casket was inspired by the deceased’s well-known love for Coca-Cola, a detail the family decided to incorporate into her final rites as a symbolic celebration of her personality and preferences.

According to him, family members revealed that Madam Ego, who died at the age of 85, was a huge fan of Coca-Cola, which inspired the unique casket design, turning her final send-off into a personal and symbolic celebration of her life.
