JUST IN: Iran’s supreme leader reportedly killed in strikes

Fresh uncertainty has emerged over the status of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following claims by Israeli sources that he was killed during coordinated airstrikes carried out on Saturday.

According to two Israeli officials cited by foreign media, intelligence assessments suggested that the Iranian leader died in the attacks, with one source alleging that Israeli authorities had obtained images believed to show Khamenei’s remains.

The sources added that an official statement was being prepared to formally address the development.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier alluded to the situation, saying available indications suggested that the Iranian leader might no longer be alive, a comment that intensified speculation across international circles.

Iran, however, rejected the claims, maintaining that both its president and Supreme Leader were unharmed.

A spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry described the reports as false, insisting that the country’s leadership remained secure.

Despite the denial, Khamenei has not made any public appearance or released recorded messages since the commencement of the strikes, further fueling debate and uncertainty about his condition.

The conflicting narratives from both sides have heightened global tension, with analysts and foreign governments awaiting independent verification as the situation continues to unfold in the region.
