The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has assured party faithful that the party will participate in the 2027 general elections despite ongoing legal battles.

Mark gave the assurance on Wednesday night after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

He dismissed fears over the litigations, expressing confidence that the party would emerge victorious in all pending cases.

According to him, members should not be worried about the legal challenges confronting the party, insisting that the ADC would scale through and feature on the ballot in all elections.

He stated that the party was fully prepared to explore all legal avenues to defend its position, adding that efforts were already underway to challenge the court judgment.

Mark also pledged to personally lead the party through the legal process, assuring supporters of a determined and lawful pursuit of justice.

The party’s legal team has filed an appeal against the ruling and sought a stay of execution, underscoring its resolve to overturn the decision.

The reassurance comes as the ADC intensifies preparations for the 2027 polls, a crucial period for strengthening its political base.

Party insiders believe the development will boost morale among members and supporters, while reinforcing the party’s ambition to remain a formidable force in the country’s political landscape.

Earlier, the legal team had briefed the leadership on the implications of the judgment and outlined strategies for the legal battles ahead.
