A medical practitioner based in Onitsha, Chudi Ezimoha, and a legal practitioner, Clifford Okoye, have taken opposing positions over a lingering family and business dispute involving New Healthway Company Limited.
Ezimoha disclosed that he had petitioned the Nanka community in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, expressing concerns over developments surrounding the ownership and management of the family enterprise.
The doctor also referenced ongoing legal battles linked to disagreements between him and his younger brother, Okechukwu Ezimoha, particularly over business interests, including properties located at the Bridge Head Market in Onitsha.
According to him, the crisis began several years ago after he entrusted aspects of the business to his brother, with disputes later arising over control and administration.
He added that the matter had since been subjected to judicial processes, including proceedings in Awka, while attempts at reconciliation had also been explored.
Responding, Okoye clarified that his involvement in the matter is strictly professional, noting that he is providing legal services related to the dispute.
He stressed that he has no personal interest in the family disagreement, adding that appropriate steps had been taken through legal channels in response to issues raised.
The lawyer further noted that efforts toward an amicable resolution had been initiated, even as the matter continues to undergo legal scrutiny.
The dispute, which borders on business ownership and strained family ties, remains unresolved, with both legal proceedings and community interventions ongoing.
