The Osun State Police Command has intensified search-and-rescue operations following the abduction of two residents of Ora-Igbomina, a border community between Osun and Kwara states. The victims were reportedly kidnapped late on Sunday from a private residence along the Aran–Orin Road in the Papa area of the town. The Department of State Services has arraigned a former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulazeez Malami, before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged terrorism financing and unlawful possession of firearms. The duo were brought before Justice Joyce Abdumalik on Tuesday on a five-count charge, according to proceedings monitored at the court. The National Examinations Council has announced the release of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination results, recording a 72 per cent credit pass rate in English Language and Mathematics. The Registrar of NECO, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, disclosed this on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State, while briefing journalists on the outcome of the examination. According to him, candidates were examined in 16 subjects during the exercise.
