The Police Command in Delta State said it killed a member of a kidnap syndicate and recovered the gang’s weapons. The command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this to journalists in Warri on Wednesday. A 39-year-old man, Ajayi Olanrewaju, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Grade ‘A’ Customary Court over alleged N12 million fraud. Two men, Hammed Abdulrasheed and Abiodun Aluko, on Wednesday appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth N1.2 million. On Wednesday, the Jos Magistrates’ Court sentenced a 22-year-old tailor, Arron Garba, to 18 months’ imprisonment for stealing aluminium windows from a church. The magistrate, Shawomi Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced Garba after he pleaded guilty to theft. The magistrate, however, gave the convict an option to pay N50,000 or to spend a year in prison.
