The Lagos State Police Command has dispersed a group of protesters in the Ikeja area of the state and arrested two persons over alleged acts of public disorder, following hours of disruption along Awolowo Road and adjoining routes. A Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kafanchan has ordered the remand of a farmer, Timothy Ayock, in a correctional facility over allegations that he raped a 70-year-old widow.
