The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has suspended the planned power outage on the Osogbo-Akure and Ado-Ekiti 132KV lines. According to the BEDC Electricity Plc (BEDC), the outage was scheduled for two months earlier. Twelve out of the 25 students of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, brought before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, for alleged murder were on Monday discharged. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said no fewer than 25 persons died while 53 persons were injured in an accident that occurred along the Kano-Kaduna highway on Monday. The corps’ public education officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, said this in a statement in Abuja.
