The Nigerian Navy has announced the destruction of four illegal refineries and apprehension of a wooden boat carrying around 2000 liters of crude oil in the Awoye community. The Ikeja Special Offences Court on Wednesday sentenced a man, Toheeb Yusuf, to one-year imprisonment at the Ikoyi Prisons for money laundering. Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe sentenced Mr Yusuf to one-year imprisonment following his plea bargain agreement to the sole charge of money laundering. The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ekiti State chapter, Paul Omotosho, is dead. A family member who spoke on condition of anonymity said Omotosho died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
