The Nigeria Police Force said its operatives have arrested 11 suspects for alleged involvement in a ” one-chance” robbery in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The Nigerian Navy has announced the destruction of four illegal refineries and apprehension of a wooden boat carrying around 2000 liters of crude oil in the Awoye community. The Ikeja Special Offences Court on Wednesday sentenced a man, Toheeb Yusuf, to one-year imprisonment at the Ikoyi Prisons for money laundering. Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe sentenced Mr Yusuf to one-year imprisonment following his plea bargain agreement to the sole charge of money laundering. The judge, however, gave the convict the option of 100 hours of community service, which the correctional centre officials would supervise. The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ekiti State chapter, Paul Omotosho, is dead. A family member who spoke on condition of anonymity said Omotosho died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness. The APC Chairman was said to have actively attended political activities on Monday He reportedly complained of feeling feverish on Tuesday, and was rushed to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he later died.
