Seven people lost their lives while another 11 suffered varying degrees of injuries in a crash which occurred on Monday night at about 9:33pm around the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The accident involved a Mazda bus with registration number MNY894 and a truck with no number plate. The Akwa Ibom State Police Command said it has rescued a 63-year-old kidnapped victim and former worker with the Shell Petroleum Development Company (name withheld) in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state. The Lagos State Ministry of Health has reported 29 deaths and 579 cases since the cholera outbreak began two weeks ago. A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, discharged and acquitted a former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, over alleged N338.8m money laundering.
