A 21-year-old internet fraudster, Jatto Sheriff Umar, who posed as the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, in order to defraud unsuspecting victims via online relationship, was on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 convicted and sentenced to prison for offences bordering on personation and cybercrime. The 2022 budget of N16.39 trillion was on Thursday October 14, passed for second reading in the House of Representatives. It was passed for second reading following the conclusion of debate on the general principles of the budget. This is coming barely 24 hours after the Senate also passed the 2022 Appropriation Bill for second reading after over one hour of debate on its general principles. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will commence the training of presiding officers and assistant presiding officers on October 19.
