A total of 1106 cases of tuberculosis was on Wednesday revealed to have been detected in Ondo State. According to State Coordinator of the National Tuberculosis, Buruli Ulcer and Leprosy Control Programme, Dr Oluwafemi Aina, the cases were discovered between January and June 2021. A section of Abonnema Wharf in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State was on Wednesday gutted by fire. The incident has caused panic in the area as several petrol tankers parked in the area made frantic efforts to leave at the same time. The chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dominic Adegbola, is dead. Mr Adegbola died at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Taofik Gani, the party’s publicity secretary in the state, told PREMIUM TIMES. Chief Magistrates’ Court in Sokoto State ordered the police to investigate an alleged assault charge filed against the Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Tambuwal on Transport, Abdullahi Maigwandu-Danjeka. Mr Maigwandu-Danjeka is charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal use of force, assault and causing grievous bodily hurt.
