A Nigerian military aircraft has reportedly gone down. The location was given as “somewhere in Kaduna State”. It was gathered that the crashed plane is an Alpha jet. “The fighter jet left Yola, the Adamawa capital, this morning to go clear bandits”, the informant added. Nigeria passport has further lost its integrity, ranking worse than ever under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime. Henley and Partners, a London based global citizenship and residence advisory firm, in its new passport index report ranked Nigeria’s passport 101 out of 199 countries, dropping six places from its 2020 position. Nigeria in the report performed worse than it did in 2020, with the country’s passport holders having access to just 46 countries visa-free. The Buhari regime has announced that only BUA Sugar Refinery Limited, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc and Golden Sugar Company will be allowed to import sugar into the country. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) made the announcement on Friday, in a circular issued by the director, Trade and Exchange Department, Ozoemena Nnaji. The Ondo State Police Command has arrested key suspects in the murder of Nofisat Adetutu Ibrahim, the slain staff of the First Bank Limited in Akure, Ondo State. It was learnt that the suspects were nabbed at different locations after thorough investigations by the police detectives. Ms. Ibrahim was murdered in August 2019 at her Point-Of-Sale shop located in the Oke Ogba area of Akure South Local Government Area. Femi Adesina, spokesman for President Muhammad’s Buhari, took a swipe at Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, calling him a false prophet whose prophecies often fail to come true. The House of Representatives, amidst a walk out of representatives from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), adopted manually transmitted election results on Friday. Section 52(2) of the draft bill proposed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may adopt electronic voting.
