Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested three people for spraying naira notes during a burial. The EFCC disclosed this in a statement posted on X.com on Friday. The statement partly read, “The suspects were arrested following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in naira abuse. “The suspects are Stanley Ogbolu, 35, Odiaka Sorwu 42, and Kelvin Anyakwu, 42. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency said its operatives in Kaduna arrested 110 suspects and recovered 520.385kg of illicit substances in May. Its commander, Samaila Danmalam, disclosed this on Friday in Kaduna. Mr Danmalam said NDLEA also seized various illicit substances that included cocaine, Indian hemp, Tramadol and Methamphetamine, among others, weighing 520.385kg. Mr Danamalam added that 10 illicit drug joints were dismantled in the state.
