The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has arrested a company owner in Lagos State for allegedly specialising in revalidating expired cosmetic products. In a statement shared on its official X handle on Tuesday, NAFDAC identified the suspect as Kingsley Awuh, the owner of Precious Jewel Int’l Nigeria Limited. The police command in Kaduna State said its operatives have arrested a notorious bandit and recovered ransom. The command’s public relations officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday in Kaduna. A 28-year-old man, Pascal Francis, was arraigned on Tuesday in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing his employer’s N410,000.Mr Francis is facing a charge of stealing to which he pleaded not guilty. The Ota unit command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun says it arrested 23 motorists in one day for traffic violations along the toll-gate area of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Unit commander Wasiu Ogunmefun disclosed this on Tuesday. Justice Amina Aliyu, presiding over a Kano State High Court, has issued a restraining order against the police, the State Security Service, SSS, and the Nigerian military. This order prohibits them from evicting the reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II. A lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Peoples Democratic Party in Delta North, has criticised the recent sack of 317 workers of the Central Bank of Nigeria and urged the Senate to investigate the purge.
