The police command in the FCT has detained a cop over an accidental discharge that led to the death of an Abuja resident, Oyebuchi Anene. The FCT command spokesman, SP Josephine Adeh, said this in a statement on Friday. The police command in Ebonyi on Thursday confirmed an alleged suicide by a final year student of the Ebonyi State University in Abakaliki. The student, identified as Favour Ugwuka, allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room at the Ishieke campus of the university on Wednesday. The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) says the inauguration of commercial operations of the Abuja Rail Mass Transit system will now be on May 29, not May 27, as earlier announced.
