A 20-year-old unemployed man, Usman Abubakar, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for stealing a motorcycle. Abubakar, who pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of stealing, was found guilty by Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi. In addition to the prison term at the Agodi Correctional Facility, Abubakar was given the option of paying a N10,000 fine, considering him a first-time offender.
