The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has debunked reports of error in the scoring of candidates in the just concluded 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board warned the public especially candidates of the last UTME to be wary of the guile and other unsavoury activities of fraudsters who were making false claims of errors in the scoring system. The Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris has been suspended indefinitely from office following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC over N80 billion Fraud. He was suspended on Wednesday by Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, budget and national planning. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has issued a ban on operations of commercial motorcycles, also known as Okada in some areas of the state. The ban followed the gruesome murder of a Sound Engineer, David. The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has rejected the bail application of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Justice Binta Nyako, in a ruling, held that since Mr Kanu was earlier granted bail in 2017 and jumped the bail, the court must first determine the real reason he jumped the bail before he reapplied for another one. The Federal High Court in Osogbo has ruled that Senator Ademola Adeleke is the duly recognised gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election.
