World football governing body, FIFA, has honoured Asisat Oshoala with the Pichichi Award, congratulating the Barcelona striker for finishing at the top of the scorers chart in the Primera Iberdrola. Despite a three-month injury layoff, Oshoala finished the season with 20 goals and three assists in 19 games. Although Real Madrid’s Geyse Ferreira also scored 20 goals and added one assist, she did that in 27 games of the 30-game season. Troops of 34 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Obinze, in Owerri, killed four gunmen in Amaifeke and  Ihioma communities in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo on Monday. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Accountant-General of the Federation (AG-F), Mr. Ahmed Idris, over alleged N80 billion fraud. It was learnt that Idris, who has been detained, was being quizzed as of press time. But the AG-F may face another hurdle for allegedly overstaying in office. He attained the retirement age in 2020. The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of Mr Ibrahim Magu and seven other Commissioners of Police (CPs) to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
