The total active cases of coronavirus, COVID-19 being managed across the country has risen to 7,986. This is following the confirmation of 65 fresh cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. NCDC made the announcement on Wednesday night while giving an update via its official Facebook page. The federal executive council (FEC) has approved the sum of N6 billion for road rehabilitation projects in the federal capital territory (FCT). Anthony Ogunleye, FCTA chief press secretary, said the road rehabilitation contracts were approved on Wednesday. The project will cover access roads to the Idu screening and isolation centre, Gosa solid waste disposal site, and the area around the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reference laboratory in Gaduwa district. Kidnappers have abducted three construction workers working on the Ikaram-Akunnu-Akoko highway linking Akoko Northwest and Akoko North East local governments areas.
