The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has secured funds from the World Bank and African Development Bank for the implementation of phase 2 and 3 of the Energizing Education Programme (EEP). There was a protest in Kastina State on Sunday over the abduction of many schoolboys from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in the Kankara Local Government Area of the state. Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has decried continuous fall in the standard of education in the country. Adamu, who spoke in Yola, the Adamawa State capital during official commissioning of completed projects in the college, lamented a situation in which graduates can neither read nor write in a tolerable manner.
