Mumbai Police Special Squad has arrested three Nigerian nationals and seized about 220 grams of cocaine worth over Rs 22 lakhs ($29,833.32) (N13.9m). The three Nigerians were arrested from Malad and Royal Palm areas of Mumbai by the special Squad of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone XI along with the Bangur Nagar police. The United States has removed all visa reciprocity fees for Nigerians seeking visas to the US with effect from December 3, the Federal Government has said. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed on Saturday that the development was sequel to the removal of excess visa application, processing and biometric fees for American citizens applying for Nigerian visas. The Donald Trump administration had in 2019 imposed the reciprocity fee for all approved non-immigrant visa applications by Nigerians. The Federal Government has approved passengers’ charges on the new Lagos-Ibadan rail standard gauge which would commence operation in January, 2021. Passengers on first class seats will pay N6, 000, the government added. It noted that other passengers will be charged N3,000 for economy seat and N5,000 for business class as it is done on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line.
