Lt Commander Ajare Uchegbulah Amadi, a commandant of the Nigerian Navy abducted last week around the Oba Akoko area of Ondo State, has been rescued. Amadi was set free on Wednesday afternoon after his abductors abandoned him in a forest. The Lagos State Government has discharged 87 additional COVID-19 patients from its isolation centres, bringing to 825 the total number of successfully treated persons in the state. No fewer than 30 bandits have been killed in airstrike conducted by the Air Component of the Operation Hadarin Daji in Doumborou forest area of Zamfara State, the Armed Forces of Nigeria has disclosed.
