Lagos State Government has lined up a-week long programme to commemorate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s one year in office. He was sworn in on May 29, 2019. The Lagos State Government on Sunday announced a plan to effect partial closure of the Marine Beach Bridge, Apapa, to vehicular movement, from May 27 to Oct. 21. The state Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, made the disclosure in a statement in Lagos. Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 1.87% in the first quarter of 2020, a new report by the National Bureau of Statistics has shown. The House of Representatives has asked the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, to ensure that all schools in the country, whether public or private are fumigated before they are reopened. Governors of the South-east have rejected the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar’s methodology of community policing.
