Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, His Excellency Wamkele Mene, has called on African leaders to take steps towards actualizing intra-Africa trade.
He made the call during the presentation and handing over of the 6th region of African flag by the Diaspora African Forum at the AfCFTA Secretariat Accra, Ghana
Mene noted that the AfCFTA will develop a structured relationship with the Diasporas to identify specific opportunities for investment and trading in Africa for the Diasporas in the US and UK.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister, Hon Herbert Krapa also congratulated the Diaspora African Forum for the initiative and promised to collaborate with DAF in various areas moving forward.
In attendance were the original initiator and commissioner of the Sixth Region Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett; Founder and Head of Mission at the Diaspora African Forum (DAF), and the designer of the 6th Region of Africa Flag; Professor Kwame Addo.
