Oluyemi Fasipe Appeals to Ondo Government as Health Sector faces Brain Drain.

In a plea to address the critical state of the health sector in Ondo State, renowned media personality and youth advocate Oluyemi Fasipe (Yemie Fash) has made an urgent appeal to the Ondo State Government.

In a Statement issued on his Twitter Handle, Yemiefash draws the attention of the Acting Gov Hon. Aiyedatiwa to the alarming issue of brain drain, a phenomenon resulting in a depleted workforce and its dire consequences on the healthcare system.

With a particular emphasis on the scarcity of medical doctors, Fasipe highlights the urgent need for intervention from the government to mitigate the effects of this crisis. As the state’s hospitals struggle to meet the growing demand for medical care, Fasipe calls upon the government to tap into the pool of skilled doctors within the Ondo State Ministry of Health and urges them to take immediate action.

The statement reads;

Your Excellency, The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa⁩

It is no longer news that our dear state is in peculiar times. The workforce has dwindled and is being depleted as a result of brain drain. Particularly in the Ondo state health sector, this sector appears to have been hit the most with the consequence being felt every day by the good people of Ondo state.

At such a time, hard and atypical decisions would need to be made. As it stands the number of medical doctors under the hospital management board ( H.M.B) is stretched thin, we need doctors from the Ondo state ministry of health to come to the field too. This is an S.O.S. call. The hospitals (General hospitals) need all the help they can get. The ministry has doctors that are equally as competent but not as busy as those in the general hospitals.

Please I am using this medium to implore the Ondo State Government to look assiduously into this matter and ensure that the hospitals get support from the doctors in the Ministry of Health pending the time the state will have more hands

The Era of medical doctors not doing much in the Ondo state Ministry of Health should end now, I am trusting the Government to do the needful. Thank you, sir.
