The program was organized by the Nigerian Data Protection Commission (NDPC) and unveiled by Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
With the aim of establishing a domestic certification process for DPOs in Nigeria, the programme is poised to reposition the country as a leader in data protection and privacy across Africa, in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda of creating job opportunities for Nigerian youth in the digital economy.
