JUST IN: Gov. Aiyedatiwa, Adelami score big in Appeal Court

In a significant legal win, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Lucky Adelami have secured victory against the appeal filed by Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, at the Court of Appeal in Akure. The court dismissed the appeal, reinforcing the legitimacy of Aiyedatiwa’s administration.

Ajayi and the PDP had challenged Adelami’s eligibility to contest in the election, citing precedents, including one from Bayelsa State, in an attempt to disqualify him.

This landmark judgment is a strong affirmation of the electoral mandate given to Aiyedatiwa and Adelami. It also highlights the judiciary’s role in upholding the integrity of Nigeria’s democratic process.

Governor Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Adelami remain committed to fulfilling their promises to the people of Ondo State, focusing on policies and programs to drive progress and development.

To Agboola Ajayi and his party, this ruling serves as a clear message that the people’s mandate is not to be undermined. It is time to put aside legal battles and unite for the collective progress of the state.
