Some gunmen have reportedly launched an attack in the Tsiga community in Bakori local government area of Katsina State.
Leadership Newspapers reports that the gunmen allegedly kidnapped several residents of the community including a retired Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga.
General Tsiga served as the director general of the National Youths Service Corps between January 2009 and September 2011.
Sources within the community said that gunmen launched the attack at about 12.30.am on Wednesday, February 5, causing panic among residents.
It was also gathered that relevant security agencies have been contacted and efforts have already been put in place to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the criminals.
